The History

Starting in Huntly, Waikato, BUILTsmart® is a New Zealand family owned business operating throughout the greater North Island for over 40 years. Accreditations include ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified, Licensed Building Practitioners, Members of Certified Builders of NZ, and Prefab NZ for prebuilt construction. Since we started in 1982, we have built over 2000 classrooms and buildings.

The Factories

Constructing transportable classrooms in our custom designed factories provides us with the environment to achieve a higher standard of quality control for the entire building process. Our method is quick, clean and affordable.

Building under cover with 95 construction bays provides huge timesaving and efficiencies . We can construct 300-400 classrooms per year up to 40% faster than conventional methods.

The People

At BUILTsmart® family is at the heart of everything we do. From sales and client relationships through to project management and construction. This hands-on approach means we take pride in every project, maintain high standards throughout the build, and are personally invested in delivering quality buildings and a great experience for our customers.
